A latest review carried out by the Ministry of Wellness has identified that a few of the nursing homes are placing efforts to raise the morale of staff members. The new move was adopted by the authorities of nursing properties soon after the patient abuse situation at Nightingale Nursing Residence.
Peacehaven Nursing Dwelling Executive Director, Mui Lang told MediaCorp that the incidences of abusing the staff individuals may perhaps have a unfavorable impact on even these staff members who execute well.
Dr. Belinda Wee, Co-Director at Private Nursing Home, Great Shepherd Loft, said that encouraging the caregivers to perform nicely and taking care of their well-being could prevent patient abuse. He has also suggested that the nursing homes have to conduct weekly meetings to address the troubles of staff members. These meetings will serve as reminders for them to deliver good quality patient care.
A spokesperson for Ren Ci Hospital stated, “We’ve actively engaged our patients’ households and conducted surveys frequently to receive feedback on the service good quality of our healthcare staff??à.
A lot of the nursing homes involved in the new move have planned to carry out feedback sessions, reviews and meeting to avoid any this kind of misconduct in future.
